Carter Kelly Floors was established in 2006 by a single owner/operator with a vision: to sand and finish one floor at a time while mastering the art of hardwood flooring. Founder John Schorsch built the company on a foundation of hardwood floor sanding and refinishing, steadily perfecting the craft over the years.
In 2010, as luxury vinyl planks (LVP) surged in popularity, Carter Kelly Floors expanded its services to include a variety of flooring options. LVP sales and installations quickly became a significant part of the business.
Although we've diversified into other flooring types, hardwood floor sanding and refinishing remain at the core of what we do. Our expertise in restoring hardwood floors to their original beauty is a cornerstone of our company, and we take pride in bringing out the natural elegance of wood in every home we touch.

Over the years, we’ve been intentional in building our team, hiring only the most skilled and dedicated professionals. Today, we have just under 12 employees and serve the Omaha and Council Bluffs metro areas, along with the surrounding regions. In addition to hardwood, we also install LVP, tile, and carpet.
